I originally thought bluray but it comes down to amount of players sold as playstation 3 has a bluray player so they had outsold HD DVD players until recently went you could pick up a HD DVD player for less than $99 (both bestbuy and walmart had them for this price and many are selling HD -A2 for $130) cheapest bluray still about $300
