Where can I get a firmware update for my insignia Blu-ray player?
I just bought an Insignia BD player that came with BD profile 1.1. I am having trouble finding where I can get the 2.0 profile so I can update it. Does anyone know where to get that. The player is the NS-BRDVD model. It does not have an ethernet port or usb so I will be burning a cd or dvd to update it. Thanks.

The insignia NS-BRDVD model is not equipped to handle Blu Ray Live because it does not have an ethernet port on it. Because enabling this feature is the driving force behind most other brand’s firmware updates, I can’t imagine Insignia releasing a firmware update for any other reason any time soon, as they notoriously bad about product support after the fact. SORRY! BD live capable players will drop below $150 in the next twelve months though, so you can get one with the feature soon enough for little money. Hope this was helpful.
