when you return a playstation 3 to a store, what does sony do with them when the store sends them back?
I have an old ps3 that broke on me and I bought a new one. I dont have my recipt for the old one so would I just be able to stick my old PS3 in the new box and return it with the new receipt?

Well, Sony will just refurbish your system to get sent back to stores to be used systems. And returning a broken ps3? Your a little low and have no ethics. hhhh. And that would be considered stealing. And their obviously going to look in the box…
