Blu-ray players are much more affordable, but the cheapest one I’ve seen is still c.£150. Compare that to a dvd player that you could buy in Tesco for £20, and consider the price of dvd movies to blu-ray, and you can see that DVD will be around for quite a while longer.
The average person on the street isn’t that bothered about 1080p HD and all the other gubbins that goes along with blu ray.
