    With a 720p screen you lose 1/3 of the detail, so the subtle differences you might see at 1080p won’t matter much. But if you don’t already have an HD-DVD player, don’t even bother because Blu-Ray won the format war. It’s better to have a single-format disc collection so you don’t have to go looking for the remote on those soon-to-be-rare occasions that you decide to watch Transformers again.
