What brand Blu Ray drives are most reliable?

I have (had) Sony PS3 till it’s lousy Blu Ray drive went out.

Not under warranty any more. Less than 2 years old. Used it mostly to watch Blu Ray movies and did not play much games.

I’m going to buy a new Blu Ray player. I’m not wasting my money to have my PS3 Blu Ray Drive replaced!

What brand Blu Ray players are most reliable and won’t "konc out"?

Are all Sony Blu Ray players use the same Blu Ray disk as PS3?

  1. Pioneer blu-ray players tend to be reliable
    Don’t be put off by sony just because of the ps3
    Sony is one of the founders of blu-ray so they know how to make blu-ray decks
    The ps3 you own will probably been a old model which was released when blu-ray was in early stages of release
    As the technology has evolved much since then
    Sony products have good build quality
