Should I get a Blu ray player, if yes should I get an HDTV?

I was thinking about getting a Blu ray player.. But, I’m still having second thoughts. DVDs are still selling, although eventually they will stop..

Also, would a blu ray player work on a regular TV? I’m planning on getting an HDTV when I move..

    yes a blu rey will ork on a standard TV you simply wi not get an HD pictures as far as player go i anticipate that standard DVd’s will be around another 2-4 years til everyone buys into blu rey right now they are very priced upwards of $300-$400 and that is just for the player but rmember whebn DVD player first came out they wer pricey as well
    Keep in mind also that Standard DVd’s WILL play on blu rey players but BLU REY DVD’s will NOT play n standrd DVD players
