is it better to have a blu ray drive or a dvd rw drive in a gaming computer?

I’m getting a gaming computer but I’m not sure if I should get the Blu ray drive or not. I have been thinking about having a Blu ray drive in one slot and in slot two I could get a 16x dvd rom drive. What do you other computer gamers recommend?

  1. The only reason to get a blu-ray drive is if you plan to play or burn blu-ray disks. The optical drive will not effect performance whatsoever. And Blu-ray drives are backwards compatible for DVDs and CDs.

    I’d personally just get the DVD drive
