A British release wouldn't work on American players. One option would be to purchase AnyDVD and rip the British Bluray onto a computer that is attached to your TV. AnyDVD will strip the region coding as it records onto your hard drive. You will also have to purchase a software Bluray player such as PowerDVD. Be aware that a Bluray file is almost 50 gigabytes! Costs: PC with the horsepower to play Bluray files: $1200 HDMI cable to TV from PC $69 PowerDVD $99 AnyDVD $79 Sweeney Todd including postage $50? Sort of expensive. I loved Sweeney Todd. I have the original on DVD, the version staring Angela Lansbury. It's excellent also. You could buy that while you're waiting for the Depp version to come out on Bluray.
