If I want a Blu-Ray player Should I just get a PS3?

If i really wanted a blu-ray player do you think i should just get a PS3 instead?

    My boyfriend chose the PS3 over the Xbox 360 specifically because of the blu-ray player. When he purchased it, he received a voucher for 5 free blu-rays, and not long after blu-ray won the war vs. the HD-DVD, so it worked out great. We have found the PS3 to work very well as a blu-ray player, you get the game system as well as the player for the same price as you’ll spend on just player. I think it really is the best way to go. The only thing I would say is a downfall of the PS3 as a player is the fact that it does give off a greta deal of heat, so it needs to be on a shelf by itself so it can vent properly.
