How many speakers do I need to enjoy 7.1 surround sound from my blu-ray movies?
I’m looking at purchasing a Onkyo TX-SR805 7.1 Channel Home Theater Receiver and a set of Klipsch Quintet SL Home Theater System (5 speakers) along with a subwoofer (also Klipsch). Is that enough speakers or do I need to add two more???
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks…

First before you buy a speaker system check out reviews from Cnet and audioholics. I wouldn’t recommend a Klipsch system unless you gotta get past the WAF. I think there are much better systems in that price range and it has no subwoofers!
Second a good 7.1 system needs 7 speakers and 2 subwoofers. Some people will tell you one is good enough, but if your going 7.1 you probably need 2. Your setup will depend on your rooms configuration.
