Hi are you disapointed on the Blu-ray & HD-DVD format war?

Well I am because, I can’t watch Pirates or Casino Royal on HD. I own HD-DVD player & the reason I bought the HD-DVD player is because, it cost less & the HD-DVD movies they cost less too. How come movie company’s just all get along? I don’t buy DVD anymore because, it sucks now & I like better picture & sound. I can’t rent good titles on Blockbuster because, Blockbuster stop supporting HD-DVD because, SONY Co. & Disney Co. they gived a alot of money to Blockbuster Co. What is your opinion of all of this?

Blockbuster does still rent HD-DVDs online. So there is that avenue. I know it sucks not being able to buy a certain movie, but then again lots of things suck in life. The good news is you can rent DVDs if you wish. That may be able to tide you over. Or you can buy a PS3. Or you can just wait and hope. I don’t think Casino Royale will be on HD-DVD anytime soon, as it’s distributed by Sony and Sony helped create Blu Ray. At least Disney MIGHT release on HD-DVD one day. Once the High Def market grows, they’ll be too much money left on the table not to release on formats that grow big enough. So hope that HD-DVD sells a lot of units this coming fall.

I’d add that this happens a bunch in other industries too. I mean I can’t play Halo on my PS3 because it’s XBox exclusive. That’s just the way it is.
