blu-ray. hd dvd uses blue lasers too to read discs. however, hd dvd only can hold 30GB where blu-ray discs are currently 50GB and working on up to 200GB. Blu-ray has exclusive support from fox, disney, and all sony picture companies, blu-ray has better security, blu-ray has put out successful blu-ray drives for pc and laptops (hd dvd has yet to), blu-ray has ps3 games, blu-ray has a higher bandwith, blu-ray has sold more players, blu-ray has sold more movies. blu-ray outsold hd dvd 3:1 in Q1 and continues its dominance.
