Does the Xbox 360 have a HD-DVD Player built inside?

I’m asking because I am confused. I thought that a HD-DVD player was built in. That is how you can watch movies and games in HD. But then why is there an external HD-DVD player. Is that for a different type of 360 or something.

  1. 1) NO, it’s a regular DVD drive
    2) You play and watch movies/games in HD because of the SIGNAL and the display of the TV.
