Does anybody know if and when Sony is going to release a 120GB Playstation 3 now that the 80GB is rare?
I desperately want to upgrade my PS2, but the 40GB is bad news. It fails to play old PS2 games or DVDs, only Blue Rays. Sony is really messing up the sales and marketing of the PS3.

According to http://www.kotaku.com there are chances, that 80GB won’t be available soon. Rumors of 120GB model (same backwards compatibility as 80GB) are around too. They conflict with rumors that only barebone 40GB will be available. All we have are rumors now. IMHO, Sony will stick to 40GB unit, because:
a). It’s the cheapest unit to produce;
b). People, who’ll want to play PS2 games will pay extra cash to Sony for PS2 consoles – another profit for Sony.
