Do you get the same hi-def quality with a Blu-Ray ROM on a PC as a reglular Blu-Ray player?

I’m building a media PC for my Hi-Def TV and wondering if I should get a full Blu-Ray player or will I be OK getting a Blu-Ray drive for the media PC. It will be connecting to the PC via HDMI. But if the quality is less or if I won’t have all of the features of a full player then I’ll save up and get the full player.

  1. No, a Blu-ray player has more features than a Blu-ray drive.
