    Don’t listen to these guys, you don’t need a wireless router (in fact, the PS2 can’t connect wirelessly anyway).

    Yes, cable internet will work fine. That’s what I use, and a majority of broadband internet users have.

    All you need to do is get an ethernet cord and plug it into the back of your PS2. An ethernet cord looks just like a really fat phone cord. If you look at the connection from your modem to computer now, you’ll see it has an ethernet cord connecting the two. If you wanted, you could simply unhook the ethernet from the computer side and plug it into the PS2. Depends how close they are setup in your house, although sometimes modems will have a hard time switching MAC addresses, but all you need to do is give it some time and it’ll eventually connect.
