Warlock – The Fierce Enemies

If you decide to role a Warlock, rest assured that you will have plenty of fun. They are dark casters that use fire and shadow spells to devastate their opponents.  Since they are interested for the “dark arts”, they are highly skilled in demonology. With demonology they can summon powerful demons, for example imps, fel hounds, succubus, infernals and void walkers. Locks are one of the two classes that can use pets and similar to the Hunter class, Locks too can have a pet by their side at most of the times if their build allows them.

Having a pet at your side makes the game a lot easier especially because you can usually avoid taking many hits. The Warlock class deals great damage with a few of the most popular offensive spells like, for example, shadow bolt. Another ability that contributed to the overall popularity of Locks is “fear”, which is can make their opponents run around for a few seconds without the ability to do anything about it. The Warlock is also well-known for their DoTs aka Damage Over Time spells that can do a great amount of damage during a certain period of time. Click here to watch the video: Warlock Guide

Because of this spell combo, a Warlock who plays his class well is a dangerous opponent in PvP and is a top damage dealer in any PvE instance or raid group. In PvE a Lock will mostly use his single target spells like Shadow Bolts while in PvP he will use DoTs and fear as well.

On top of a variety of damaging spells the Warlock has several other nice spells in his arsenal. One of these is the Dark Portal they can summon. This portal is used to summon players located anywhere on the map to the location of a Warlock. He will need a hand to summon a player. This Dark Portal can be used similar like you would use the meeting stone in front of an instance.

A Warlock can also apply a Soul Stone on himself or others. A person who has a Soul Stone on him can easily resurrect if he happens to die. This can greatly reduce the corps running time even though it has a cool down of half an hour. Soul Stone will come in handy to any Lock while he is leveling and also it is a “wipe savior” in any raid or dungeon group if placed on a player who can heal or resurrect. Warlocks are also known for their ability to produce Health Stones which are used similar as the healing potions but they restore even more health. The Warlock can hand out the Health Stones to others as well and at some point the Warlock will be able to summon a Soul Well where everybody in the party or raid can click on to receive a Health Stone. What is nice about the Health Stones is that they do not share the same cool down as Healing Potions which means that you can use the both of them in a longer fight.

Warlocks are a very fun and interesting class to play. Not only that you will have the abilities to summon many different demons as pets to fight for you, you will also have very destructive and strong damage spells, abilities to fear the enemies, and a couple of other very useful spells that will greatly improve your group’s performance. If you prefer to play caster classes and would like to level up fast, this class would be perfect for you!
