Need For Speed Shift is Worth Playing

After renting out the new Need for Speed Shift I came back rather impressed. Past additions of the game have been very poor indeed. The last one that was worth a ten minute go was Undercover and that was at best, okay.

The creators have actually scrapped all previous ideas for the titles and made the game into a proper, realistic racing experience which has actually got a chance to complete with the upcoming 360 exclusive, Forza 3.

The game itself is long lasting indeed, with hours needed to be spent on it to gain access to cars and to finish all of the races. This is without even taking in the online modes which can only mean more hours spent on the game.

This game isn’t about new cars but more about the custom made models from the likes of BMW, Toyota and every other car maker you can think of.

In terms of playing for fun , Need For Speed did seem a lot better than Forza but then again I have only managed to play the Forza demo. Forza still seems to have the best graphics a car game can offer along with a larger selection of cars to choose from.

EA have concentrated on the driver himself and have tried to make you feel like the driver. EA has made it so that if you crash or bump into someone you feel like the driver in that the screen will go blurry, high speeds are also shown in this way.

It is really up to you on the decision to take when it comes to buying these games, you could do what a lot of people are doing and buy them both!
