Mage – The Elements of Magic

A Mage is a great damage dealer who uses mana for his spells. The Mage uses powerful spells like Fire, Frost, and Frostfire Bolts, Arcane missiles that damage a single target but also have a variety of spells that can deal great amounts of damage to multiple enemies.

There is a variety of races one can choose if he wants to build up a mage – Human, Gnome and Draenei race (Alliance) and Blood Elf, Troll and Undead race (Horde). The Mage class is a very nice and playful class and is always welcomed in PvP arena teams and in raid/instance groups. The Mage has several buffs and the most important one is Arcane Brilliance which increases the Intellect of party and raid members. However, the Int buff is just one of the reasons why the Mage class is so popular. Click here to watch the video WoW Mage Leveling Guide

A mage can create food and water for himself and other players which is a gold savior since in any other way you will need to purchase it from a vendor. These consumables restore both mana and hit points. Another thing mages have is the ability to Polymorph Beasts and Humanoids which is why they are also a need in fights with more than one mob. Even though, today, the fights in WoW have become much easier (tank ‘n spank), Crowd Control is still nice and useful.

These spells that buff, create and transform are nice but you will probably understand that a Mage has a wide variety of damaging attacks which make him one of the best damage dealing classes in the game. His spells are based on Arcane, Fire and Frost damage. Spells like Blizzard, Flame Strike, Arcane Explosion, Cone of Cold and other damaging spells do damage on multiple mobs and can place a Mage on top of the damage meters. He also possesses AoE spells like Arcane Explosion, Blizzard, Cone of Cold and Flame Strike which cause quite nice amount of damage to multiple enemies and also contribute to the overall amount of damage Mage does in a raid. Great thing about Arcane is that the tree provides the Mage with quite a bit of mana efficient talents, several devastating spells and more. The Fire talent tree has always been seen as the talent tree which should be followed by Mages that look purely at the damage output. Today, Arcane is used for in PvP as well as in PvE and it offers some useful talents that have mana efficiency and improved damage output. When we talk about Mages who are aiming for pure dps, then we are talking about the Fire talent build. This talent tree will offer offensive damage abilities and spells to a Mage as well as an increased crit strike rating which all together would give your mage an astonishing damage output.

Since you can also stun players and summon a Water Elemental to fight at your side, the Frost tree is great in PvP and also a fun choice for PvE. The Frost talent build has many AoE spells in store for you, as well as the Crowd Control spells and even a protective shield!. Since you can also stun players and summon a Water Elemental to fight at your side, the Frost tree is great in PvP and also a fun choice for PvE. The Mage class is fun to play since you can combine the three talent trees as you prefer and try out the new builds.

In time, by changing and combining all of the three talent builds you will surely find the perfect build to suit your character and you will become one of the best damage dealers in PvP and PvE.
