If you buy a cheap one, it won't function as good. Well for instance, my dad bought a Blu-Ray player in 2007 [We got it CHEAP $199 with 5 free Blu-Ray movies], and the new Blu-Ray movies now wouldn't work on it. We went to a Sony Style store as ask about it, and they said we had to burn a Firmware update into a dvd for the Blu-Ray to work new movies. Now it can play new Blu-Ray movies. The Blu-Ray player we got was a Sony Brand, one of the top of the line at the time. We got it cheap because it was from Costco and it was Black Friday :D. I'm not lying, but the almost the same exact Blu-Ray player we got is the same price today without the free movies lol. Anyways, if you don't want to deal with what I did, PS3 is the perfect choice. PS3 is one of the best Blu-Ray players out there, no lie.
