Does anyone know whats wrong with my blu ray player?

So I bought a memorex blu ray player, and i was watching a standard dvd and it kept skipping. The dvd had no scratches on it, and the blu ray player is new. Does anyone know whats wrong?

    Dude, that is one cheap brand. Look where it was made. I doubt a single part in it is unique to that model. Everything is off the shelf garbage that anyone can buy. Get a Sony BDP-S360. It blows that crap away in terms of quality.

  2. Might be dirty inside. Try a lens cleaner disc.

  3. if your dvd is ok, your player may not work well for dvd
