Classic Game Room HD – CASTLEVANIA REBIRTH for Nintendo Wii review

Classic Game Room HD reviews CASTLEVANIA THE ADVENTURE REBIRTH for Nintendo Wii. This is a downloadable game from wiiware on Nintendo’s online service for Nintendo Wii. For a few dollars you get a new Castlevania adventure with a retro 2D style reminiscent of the Super Nintendo or Sega Genesis versions of Castlevania. Fans of the old school NES games like Simon’s Quest will get a kick out of the style and gameplay. Amazing synthesizer music with an old school feel pumps through the speakers as you waste eyeballs and skeletons with a whip while moving through the castle. From Konami, Castlevania Rebirth is a cool remake of the Castlevania games that should make fans of the series happy. Now it’s time to whip some eyeball jellyfish! This CGR review of Castlevania Rebirth on Nintendo Wii has gameplay from the wiiware game Castlevania Rebirth (Wii Ware, Virtual Console)

  1. o yea

    like after i commented 2 u i saw that douche’s comments

he has no idea of what the dreamcast can accomplish

and i have a US DC also

i have SOOO many games and they never get old

and if havent already , get half life on dreamcast :D

  2. For you and me, that is for sure it will never be Lame. I am speaking to i8246i in a way that he understands…To him, he sees the Dreamcast as a foolish mistake that cost SEGA greatly. I see the Dreamcast as a game system that exceeded it’s potential. I Bought a Japanese Dreamcast and had it Modded after the US release. It later broke, making 50 of my Games useless, and I felt helpless. That was until I learned of the Hacking of DC. Now I own a US DC and have access to over 700 games for it.

Eyeball Jellyfish? I’ll pay fifty dollars for one!

  4. i dont like the smalll enemies (they always get me >:(). hey, do you agree that contra 5 should be made as a first person shooter for ps3, xbox 360 and wii?

  5. i think he was refuring to bud lime.

  6. No sh*t, liveFOLK. I was referring to him, thinking he’d respond. It sounds as if he didn’t know at that moment… Maybe he did, but It sounded to me as if he didn’t. Let’s just hear it from him.

  7. dude the dreamcast will NEVER be lame

  8. looks like a good game.i’ll check it out

  9. fair play the sound track is awesome

  10. He mentions “Gradius ReBirth” within the first 60 seconds of the video.

  11. @CGR, did you know about Gradius ReBirth for the Wii? Yes, it exists! (Unless you already know about that, then I have told you about something you know about already.)

  12. I’m including more than just nerds who believe everyone loves Computers. Not everyone is a geek with the technology, knowhow, and patience to learn and do the things we are talking about. Some people bust their back for a living and don’t have money for a Computer to play around on. I understand that you have turned your nose up to the Dreamcast but I sense you have made up your mind to hate it before anyone has said anything to you. The DC may be lame, but that’s lamer.

  13. ya all those i like as well but DC still had better games earlier in the ps2’s life cycle no matter what people say.

  14. i think you´re talking about corona. great game, btw! :)

  15. epic game over screen!

  16. CONTRA REBIRTH FTW

even though i cant get past level 2 XD

  17. Virutal console = NES SNES Genesis Turbografx ETC. games.
Wii Ware = New Wii/PS3/X360 developed titles like Megaman 9.

  18. not to mention a lot of big early titles like Tekken Tag Tournament, Metal Gear Solid 2, Timesplitters, Armored Core 2, Final Fantasy X, Grand Theft Auto III, etc.

  19. The DC kicked ass, but yeah it was one of those “in between” kind products. Just like the Sega Game Gear had better graphics etc than anything out at the time, but died because of market based reasons… Reminds me of the Amiga…

  20. Definitely buying this.I’m a massive massive old-school Castlevania fan.

  21. the DC hands down had more going for it back in 2001 then the ps2 end of story! everygame that came out on both systems ran and played better on the Dreamcast! ask pretty much everybody except for your self because you obviously dont like the system so this is really pointless you just dont like sega and thats your opinion! mine is that ps2 isn’t as great as you make it out to be, like i said sure it has some great games but dreamcast pretty much had all good games there was very few duds. by!

  22. and ya im not saying the ps2 was bad at all because i like it too but its overrated period! lol, and all that better graphics and this and that sound crap isn’t true! where did you even hear that? considering that dreamcast runs giga discs and the game cube has 1.5 gigs a disc so how much better can the sound actually be for you to tell? your argument means nothing, and as for graphics ya sure the game cube is better! hell its better than the ps2! it should be! but skys is the same with extra?

  23. lol man your a fanboy obviously for ps2? he he, just because the the ps2 won the war doesn’t mean a system isn’t good? lol thats a pretty bleak look on the industry and i mean if you think that way it’s pretty narrow minded, lol, yup the ps2 won the war so it automatically wins! well ya maybe in statistics but there are millions that would disagree with you! and good for being done with the convo because i was done way earlier and your just responding now lol! jump on it right away not hours.

  24. This argument (well, it never really was one…) was over the moment Sega released the console without a DVD drive…

11 years later fanboys are still blind to the truth.

Go ahead and respond for or against me, I’m done with the conversation.

  25. I severely doubt the Dreamcast could do half of the things the Playstation 2 was able to do…..

Try to imagine Zone of the Enders, Metal Gear Solid….hell, even Katamari!

The fact that Sonic Adventure 1 and 2, and Skies of Arcadia were re-released on the gamecube with better graphics, sound, and with more gameply options….the Dreamcast was a failure.

And if the DC was “awesome” to program on, why did hardly any developers jump on the system?
